This is a logical zone for Google, because they had earlier claimed that sharing content is validating the quality. It is definitely important to study the rankings and how they have varied over time.

There are a few more weeks to learn about the shift. But how does this impact the online marketers?

Although the Panda will negatively impact poor quality content but the latest iteration will be rewarding through better visibility. So you have to be the best among your competitors, and improve your chances for creating quality content. Although it is an audience focused strategy, but the advantage is that with this search engine, you don’t have to worry about being ‘in the niche’, especially where social sharing does not happen.

Although it is very early to come to any deductions, but one should be ready to make the most from the changes. More studies need to be conducted on how the engineers plan to utilize the data post the deal.
